look at what it says:

"mod_gzip, mod_deflate, or gzip compression through any server-side language, like PHP."

maybe you can try mod_gzip?

That is a cool website.

Just an obvious FYI, that website will not show that the site is gzipped, unless one goes into their admin panel, under Global Configuration, Server tab, and sets "GZIP Page Compression" to YES. Though this is different than your discogs issue. This basically uses the compression throughout all of joomla to speed up the page loads. However it would verify if gzip is working properly.

mod_gzip is an APACHE module, not a joomla module

@Round Rock Radio its your hosting provider who has to solve this... I mean... they told you that your site admits gzipi data, but as you could see, it does not!

So I sent my host to the website Germi provided to prove to them gzip wasnt working....This was their response...

gzip is available on the server, but it's not enabled automatically.
If you want to enable mod_deflate (successor of mod_gzip) you can
review the configuration here:
httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_deflate.html

So I went to httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_deflate.html as they said I should do....I might as well have been reading japanese. I emailed them back and asked them to please enable it for me since they are the hosting company that I pay every month.
I'll see what happens and what their response is.
They are usually pretty good about helping out with these sort of things.
